From Trauma to Confidence

When Onyer first arrived at our Nyaru Menteng sanctuary, he was deeply traumatized and unsettled. Having lost his mother at such a fragile age, he would cry inconsolably whenever a surrogate mother stepped away, terrified of being abandoned again.

With patience, warm bottles of milk, and endless reassurance from his dedicated human caregivers, Onyer's spirit bloomed. Today, he is one of the most confident youngsters in Forest School—a natural poser who loves swinging from ropes, exploring forest canopy fruits, and wrestling gently with his fellow orphan peers.
